[THE TWO COLORED CARPS (Nishiki goi)]
This decorated altar was dedicated to a person who loved collecting scroll
pictures of carp. Formed by exclusively combining smooth round curves, it
successfully depicts slow movements. The front part is deliberately designed to
be large, to give a 3D look to the entire altar. The dappled patterns on the
body surface of the two colored carps (Nishiki goi) are softly expressed
with a gradation of pink petals. The contrast with the background is increased
to accentuate the two colored carps (Nishiki goi) motif.

[SHIP]
Created for a person who loved ships and the sea, this large decorative altar
features a ship drifting on waves formed with chrysanthemums. It represents a
scene in which a vessel is about to set sail out into the immense ocean.
